About Me

I’m so happy you’re here! I’m Destiny, baker, creator, and face behind Dose of Sugar. Apart from Dose of Sugar, I’m a dog mom of one sweet english bulldog named Daisy, I love the outdoors and being able to travel any chance I get, I’m 28 years old, independent, and just trying to figure out this thing called life.
This all started with a passion of mine at the young age of 10, I can still remember my mom taking me to my first cake class at Michael’s craft store. I had found a whole new love and joy for a new gift I never knew I had. It was always just a hobby for me growing up, it was a way for me to express myself and my love for the people around me. It was something I never thought I’d pursue career-wise. It wasn’t till January of 2018 that everything changed for me. I took a job at a local bakery, not knowing what I was getting myself into. I learned so much within those two years of managing and truly soaked in all the knowledge I could during that time before venturing out on my own. Before I knew it, I was launching Dose of Sugar, my pride and joy. Here we are 5 years later and I truly feel like I have built something I am so proud of. It truly is a passion of mine to bake, design, and create. This journey has been the biggest learning experience that continuously grows with each and every order. I believe that's the beauty of starting a business, there is always room for growth and learning. I’m so thankful to be a part of many celebrations and would love to welcome you to try my custom-made desserts.
